FAQ

Why are the results slightly different every time?

Enneagram responses are influenced by your current physical condition, recent relationship stress, work environment, and level of self-awareness. In particular, for those in a borderline state, the selection of specific questions may vary depending on the situation, which may slightly change the results. We recommend looking at repeating patterns and common responses rather than completely fixed labels.

How do I interpret duplicate scores (tied scores)?

A tie does not mean that only one type exists, but rather that two or three response patterns are strongly activated together at the present time. The site narrows down the candidates with additional verification questions, but ultimately, it's best to read all of the top candidate types pages and base your judgment on “the core motivations that repeat when I'm stressed.”

Is this test psychological diagnostic?

No. This test is a dispositional exploration tool to aid self-understanding and is not a substitute for clinical psychological testing or medical diagnosis. If emotional difficulties persist or daily functional decline is severe, please prioritize evaluation by a professional counseling agency or medical institution.

When is the best time to retest?

Retesting every 4 to 8 weeks after a significant environmental change (job change, relationship change, recovery from burnout, etc.) can help you track changes in patterns. If you repeat at too short intervals, your memory of the previous response may be affected, so please proceed in a calm state at intervals.

What if the results are unfamiliar or I don’t like them?

Rather than seeing the results as right or wrong, the burden is reduced if you look at them as “the survival strategy I currently use most often.” Compare the top 2-3 candidates and check for sentences that resonate strongly in common at the unhealthy, average, and healthy levels. That process is more effective for actual self-understanding.

In what order should I read the type pages?

The recommended order is 1) Overview·Avoidance Mechanism·Obsessions and Motivation, 2) Unhealthy, 3) Average, 4) Health, 5) Spiritual Growth. Change will be faster if you first check your repetitive automatic reactions (unhealthy/average) and then select small action routines to actually apply in your health and spiritual growth.
